As a SONIC Carhop, you are part of an elite group, filling a role offered by no other company. Being a Carhop (aka super cool food server) is like being an astronaut, only you work in a drive-in restaurant instead of space, and the food’s way better.
Fountain ▸ “The Master of Mixery”
CREW – $10 - $16/hr
As a Crew Member in charge of working fountain, you will be responsible for making all fountain and frozen drinks and treats – all 1,390,000 possible combinations, mind you!
Prepper ▸ “The Quality Expert”
CREW – $10 - $16/hr
The role of Prepper in the Drive-In is heavily relied upon by their fellow co-workers, as the Prepper’s work and attention to detail paves the way for others to excel in their roles.
Cook ▸ “The Architect of Deliciousness”
CREW – $10 - $16/hr
As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant Cook, you will oversee the Appetite Satisfaction Department, which involves operating the following stations: Food Production, Grill, Fryer and other tasks if applicable.
Before being promoted from Crew Member to Leadership, Crew Member needs to be well-rounded in other Crew responsibilities such as: Switchboard Operator, Ice Cream Maker, and To-Go Specialist.
Assistant Manager

Being an Assistant Manager at a SONIC Drive-In restaurant is the cherry on top of a Strawberry Banana Split Molten Cake Sundae. You’ll assist the drive-in restaurant’s General Manager in managing drive-in operations and will also be involved in training and supporting other employees.

As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant General Manager, you are indeed a general — leading your troops in a never-ending campaign to give America an infinitely more delicious food service experience.

LEADERSHIP – $125,000 - $185,000 (pay can vary depending on the number of stores you support)
As a Supervisor, you are responsible for supporting multiple General Managers and Drive-Ins.
